Addressing Prevalence of Tardive Dyskinesia in Long-Term Care Residents: Strategies for Improved Quality of Life and Effective Treatment

This course is designed for long-term care clinicians, including medical directors, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, pharmacists, and psychiatrists, as well as other health professionals caring for older adults. After participating in this course, learners should be better able to summarize the prevalence of tardive dyskinesia (TD) in long-term care residents taking antipsychotic medication, appropriately administer AIMS screening and interpret patients’ results to evaluate TD symptoms and assess treatment response, and much more.
